Questions about Nervous System Recalibration

Direct answers to the questions most clients ask before booking. If your question is not here, use the contact page.

About the Protocol

Is this therapy or coaching?

Neither. This is a clinical protocol targeting autonomic nervous system function. It is not psychotherapy, medical treatment, or coaching. No diagnosis is made. Think of it as applied neuroscience: targeted intervention for measurable physiological outcomes.

What is the difference between this and meditation or breathwork?

Meditation and breathwork are self-directed practices. This is a targeted clinical protocol with real-time assessment and adjustment. The difference is the same as between stretching at home and working with a physiotherapist — both involve the body, but the mechanism and precision differ entirely.

What does "nervous system regulation" actually mean?

It refers to the autonomic nervous system's capacity to move fluidly between states — activation and rest, engagement and recovery — without getting stuck in either. A regulated nervous system responds appropriately to demands and returns to baseline efficiently. A dysregulated one does not.

Is there scientific evidence for this approach?

The protocol draws on three well-established research bases: Porges' polyvagal theory (peer-reviewed, widely cited in clinical literature), HRV research showing measurable autonomic improvement from targeted vagal interventions, and somatic regulation research. The specific combination and application is clinical, not experimental.

Sessions & Process

How long before I see results?

Most clients report perceptible change — in sleep quality, stress response, or cognitive clarity — within 2–3 sessions. Measurable HRV improvement is typically documented by session 3–4. The protocol is calibrated to your autonomic response, not a fixed timeline.

Do sessions have to be in person?

All sessions are delivered remotely via Google Meet. The protocol does not require physical proximity. You need a quiet space and approximately 60 minutes including transition time before and after the session.

Do I need any special equipment or devices?

No equipment required on your end. Sessions are audio-only via Google Meet — you need nothing beyond a quiet space and your phone or computer. If you already use a wearable device (Apple Watch, Garmin, Whoop, Polar, or similar), we can use your HRV data to track your nervous system recovery objectively over time. If you don't have one, that's completely fine — we track progress through sleep quality, energy levels, anxiety, and cognitive clarity, scored on a simple scale before and after each session. The changes are measurable either way.

What do I need to prepare for a session?

A quiet space where you will not be interrupted. A stable internet connection. No prior experience with any modality. No ability to relax on demand. The protocol works with your nervous system as it presents — not with an idealized version of it.

What happens if I don't see results?

If measurable change is not occurring by session 4, the protocol is modified before continuation. There is no standard trajectory — only calibrated response to your autonomic system. If the approach is not producing results, the approach changes.

Practical & Logistical

What are your availability hours?

Sessions are available Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm EST. Vincent is based in France and operates on USA East Coast hours to serve clients in North America.

Is there a commitment required?

No long-term commitment is required. You can book a single session to assess fit. The Initial Protocol Block of 4 sessions is recommended for measurable outcomes, but there is no obligation to continue beyond what you book.

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice are charged at the full session rate. Sessions cancelled with more than 48 hours notice can be rescheduled or fully refunded at your choice.

Do you work with men as well as women?

Yes. The protocol addresses autonomic nervous system dysregulation — a physiological process that operates identically regardless of gender. The site targets professional women because burnout in that demographic is significantly underserved, but the protocol is equally applicable to men.

Safety & Medical

Is this safe if I have a pre-existing condition?

Consult your physician before beginning if you have cardiovascular, neurological, or psychiatric conditions. The protocol is non-invasive and does not involve medication, physical contact, or diagnostic procedures. However, it is not appropriate as a substitute for active medical treatment.

What if I am currently in therapy or on medication?

This protocol is designed to complement, not replace, existing medical or therapeutic care. Many clients work with therapists or are on medication while doing this work. Inform your prescribing physician of any new interventions you are undertaking.

What if I am in crisis?

This protocol is not appropriate for acute psychiatric crisis. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, contact your physician or a crisis service. In the USA: 988. In France: 3114. This work is for nervous system recovery, not crisis intervention.

Is this confidential?

Session content is confidential. Notes are shared only with you. No client information is shared with third parties. Full details are in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
